Dear Senator Shaheen:
President Biden’s federal regulators have worked hard to stop Amazon, Google, and Meta from expanding their tech monopolies, and are challenging the Kroger-Albertsons merger that could wreak havoc on grocery shopping. These are critical regulatory actions to protect American citizens.
But now your decision to defund the regulators doing this important work will hamstring their ability to protect American consumers.
We demand that you change course immediately and take action to correct the damage done to antitrust enforcement in your proposal.
